Maram

मरम - Beyond Paradoxes

O’ Mother, allow me to enter into the unknown.

  1. Paradox: Though he knows the word, he does not know its marrow. All understanding—मरम—and all clarity—भेद—marrow within the paradox. And only when a paradox is truly crossed, not by intellect but through action (कर्म), does realisation arise.

  2. Touching Feet: Everything begins at the feet of परमात्मा—and it is through our own feet that we first touched this world. The feet carry origin, direction, and surrender. They are not just where we stand—but where we bow. The feet of परमात्मा are not known to us—but their presence echoes in those who walk near us. So if we cannot touch the One directly, let us begin by touching the feet of all who cross our path. For who knows through whom the Divine passes?

When the dust of Rama’s lotus feet dissolved a stone into a woman, my wooden boat seems even more fragile.

If that dust touches my boat, it may become a woman — then what will I do?

If, O Lord, You wish to cross, then please allow me to wash your lotus-feet first.

Only then will I permit you to board my boat.
